Mechanical Engineering positions at NVM are exposed to a variety of local industries, applications and projects. Over the years, we have diversified to include customers from ATV to Window Manufacturers. This variety insulates us from the cyclical nature of the economy in certain industries. Each Mechanical Engineer is expected to:
- Design projects using SolidWorks and/or Creo 3D software.
- Follow the project along as it is being manufactured.
- Coordinate assembly of the project, as required.
- Debug equipment and conduct final runoff with customer.
This may include off-site customer visits and new equipment reviews, so some travel is required. Our customer diversification has exposed us to hundreds of unique projects, but most of which fall into the following:
- Design custom factory assembly stations
- Design material handling equipment
All projects are fully supported by our staff of welders, machinists and assemblers, as well as a fully staffed Electrical Engineering department and on-site UL Listed Panel building services. From small projects to large, every NVM project is designed, manufactured, assembled and tested in-house, giving us a logistical advantage over many of our competitors.
